Tabletop mountain

Our original plan was to hike Tabletop and Colden today, September 24, 2020, however after our almost 20 miles hike the day before, we were okay with relaxing at camp. We stayed at the Adirondack Loj in a canvas tent next to some friends. We offered to hike Mount Jo, we had heard the views with a foliage were beautiful this time of year. They expressed that they wanted to climb a high peak, so we settled on doing Tabletop.

We had a late start to the morning, but that's the benefit to staying at the Loj, you don't have to worry about getting there early for parking. We started around 9am and reached the summit around noon. The view was mediocre, mostly wooded.

It was a 10 mile out and back hike with the first and last three miles being mostly flat. Marcy dam was beautiful with the fall colors. Everyone was hurting after this one. It took us about 6 hours total.
